Request

Description

A request is a document recording that one party, usually a subordinate, asked something of another, generally a person in a position of power. Requests could be for a temporary loan, as in one Atlas of a Medieval Life document, in which an earl requests horses from an abbey to aid the war effort, or for something more permanent, such as a request for the repayment of a debt.
