Notification
Description
A notification is a document informing a party that something has happened and entering this happening into the legal record. While modern law has derived from this the legal notice, which informs another party that legal action is being brought against them, a medieval notification served a much broader array of functions. Generally, they document a significant event - such as the transference of property or the induction of a new church officer - and inform an important personage of that event.
