Quitclaim

Description

A quitclaim is a document containing a formal renunciation of a legal claim against another party, a literal “quitting” of the claim. Often, this renunciation is used as a method of transferring ownership of land from one party to another. Quitclaims remain in common use in North American law, but are no longer used in England.
